National Disability Insurance Scheme is Here!!

I’m sure by now everyone has heard about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).  The scheme has rolled out here in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, through Banyule, Darebin, Nillumbik, Whittlesea and Yarra.

Including You is excited to be part of this exciting time in the world of disability services.  We are trying to keep on top of all the updates and make sure that we can support people through the process of rolling over from the state based funding system.

Belinda and I went to a National Disability Services forum last week and heard speakers from NDIS and the Brotherhood of St Laurence.  The Brotherhood are the agency who will be doing lots of the planning with people in the Northern suburbs.  Both organisations acknowledged that people have lots of questions and concerns about the new system and that the roll out is a work in progress.
